Mother Mae's Kitchen in Evanston

Stopped at this lovely little local kitchen for a delightful meal on our road trip from Yellowstone back to our home in Utah. Wonderful service, great food, incredible experience. We were in a bit of a hurry and they got us in and out in 30 minutes or less! Great prices & you could tell this was a cute family business. Hand cut, fresh made fries with FRY SAUCE! Love love love this place. We will maybe move here so we can eat here more often. Thanks mother Mae! You have changed our lives.

Loved it here. Mom and pops diner.. well really grandmom and grandpop. And grandkids helping when we were there. Great chili. Great burger. Fresh cut fries were excellent.

Very nice local folks running the operation but nothing special or particularly good about the food. Burgers and chili and chicken strips and the like. Better to hit one of the drive through chains.

A locally owned and operated Sandwich place. Think back to the 1950's don't be too nostalgic though this is the reality of what caused franchise places to boom. The staff is friendly and the menu is not digital. The food is adequate and very reasonably priced for handmade burgers.

I have always enjoyed the people that run it and they have good food.

Food was good.. place was very dirty and NO ONE used gloves or washed thier hands... Watched them take cash at register, pick nose, and then make two sandwiches... no gloves or washing.. NO thank you!!

Down Home and Great place to come get burgers and fries. Homemade bread for sandwiches. Steak taco and Chicken taco. Make home made chili, you can get chili burger, chili dogs and Frito pie. Their much more food choice.

My family and I were traveling thru to Oregon from Missouri and the owners actually stayed open to feed our hungry family. They are so friendly and I wish them many more successful years of business. The food was just like the personalities of the staff, amazing.

The place is a bit run down, but do not be put off by it. We had a 2 meat subway on freshly baked bread (which they bake everyday), one of the best sandwich I've had in years. They also have fresh hand cut french fries, which were very nice. The service is excellent

This place has been around for a long time. The owners still manage everything. The food is OK, but service and the interior condition isn't great. Staff is friendly and prices are comparable with other places to eat here in town. Certainly not eating here as often as we once were though.

Fairly good food BUT. Not clean. They really need to clean this place up. Y hubby won't even go there. Also do not let their grandkids run around behind counterDo not let customer's go behind counter to refill their own drink.. Clean it up.

It's a very small "mom and pop" place with homemade bread with their subs. They do sandwiches, burgers, soup, and home made fries and their food is down home, good and reasonably priced. They are very friendly, accommodating, and informal. As strangers in town, we loved stopping by here for a quick bite. They made us feel very welcome.

Always friendly service and delicious food. The 8 inch chicken tenders sandwich on fresh sour dough bread is incredible and it's basically 10x5x4 inches or so.

Great food at unbeatable prices. The proportions are outstanding and the pure outrageous amazing hospitality and environment are the cherry on top. Truly kind and warm hearted people own and run Mother Mae's. The perfect place for the family or lunch buddy's.

This place is a mom & pop restaurant the people are so great & funny. The food is amazing! They make soup without onions which means they are good cooks, & it was awesome! Family friendly, definitely a treasure for some great food!

First visit to WY and a great experience. Good food and conversation. Even other customers had smiles on their faces and shared them with us. Ever in the area story in have a chillidog with extra onions. We'll be back....D
